FAQ

  • What casting process does our company adopt?

The facility utilizes full silica sol investment casting technology, equipped with multiple energy-efficient and environmentally friendly precision casting production lines. These incorporate automated or semi-automated processes for core manufacturing stages including wax pattern fabrication, shell molding, pouring, heat treatment, and CNC machining, delivering an annual output exceeding 1,000 tons of castings.
  • What materials can our company cast?

Our company specializes in producing precision castings in carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, heat-resistant steels, and other advanced materials, with over 100 material grades and more than 5,000 product variants. We are proficient in implementing international and industry-specific material standards, including:
    GB (China)
    ASTM, AISI, AAR (U.S. railway)
    DIN (Germany)
    EN (Europe)
    JIS (Japan)
    BS (UK)
    AS (Australia)
  • How to Ensure Casting Quality Control in the Investment Casting Process?

In the casting process, the key to controlling the quality of castings lies in strictly adhering to production procedures and quality control standards at every stage. Each step—from raw material preparation to controlling casting temperatures and adjusting pouring speeds—requires meticulous operation. Concurrently, regular quality inspections and sampling checks should be conducted during casting to timely identify and address potential quality issues. Furthermore, tailored quality control standards and inspection methods must be established for different types of castings and casting processes to ensure the final products meet design specifications.
  • What are the requirements for the surface quality of castings?

The surface quality of castings is one of the critical indicators for measuring casting quality. Generally, the casting surface should be smooth and flawless, free from cold shuts, cracks, shrinkage cavities, through defects, or severe incomplete defects. Additionally, the surface should be free of burrs, flash, or other impurities, and after cleaning, it should closely match the as-cast surface. For unmachined surfaces, any text or markings on the casting must be legible, with their positions and fonts complying with the drawing specifications. Furthermore, the surface roughness should be maintained within specified limits to meet requirements for subsequent processing and application.
  • What design elements should be noted during the manufacturing process of castings?

During the casting design process, multiple factors must be considered to ensure the quality and performance of the castings.
First, variations in wall thickness affect the mechanical properties of the metal, so relevant manuals should be consulted to account for the impact of wall thickness changes on casting performance.
Second, the minimum wall thickness must be determined by integrating factors such as part complexity, dimensions, material, and manufacturing processes.
Additionally, the design should also consider factors like simplicity of mold fabrication, rationality of parting surfaces, and core stability to ensure smooth forming during manufacturing and achievement of the desired performance requirements.
